The Rocky Seashore
Learning in themes is fun, because based on what the child is studying, the whole family can participate. The first picture is the rocky seashore wall, courtesy of my daughter's kindergarten class. The second image is the actual rocky seashore at our local tidepools near Half Moon Bay, California. What a great excuse to go out and explore. Happy Photo Friday!

Love this! I think it's the Lawrence Hall of Science that produces an amazing bilingual marine science curriculum called the MARE curriculum. Looks like that's what your daughter's teacher may be using.
I am trying to plan my own cubscout tidepool adventure. Your Half Moon bay picts also make me think, I should head to the Natural Bridges tidepools in Santa Cruz this summer.

Those remind me of the rock pools in Cornwall where you can dabble and explore at low tide - children seem facinated by them.

I really like that project - and what a beautiful result. Absolutely art.
Love it! My daughter's school devotes a whole week to "Oceans Week" and they finish with a parade of sea creature costumes and hats. I'll have to share those pics some day!
